Oh.. and

So this maybe a favor from me to you.. but if it's possible (whoever reads this), to just send me (email: samiam4eva06@gmail.com or comment here) a short list. What is your daily routine kind of like? What snacks are most filling? What are your work lunches like? What exercises do you love and use? What workout videos do you like? Any books I should read? etc..

I'm just trying to: A) educate myself on what works on real women like us, not the supermodels. B) I'll be honest.. I'm pretty broke to add a personal trainer to my budget. I do go to Bally Gym though.. thanks to the fiance! C) I have a really weak ankle, so I'm looking for different exercises to do besides running.. because I can't run for too long. D) I'm in this for the long haul.. so the eating ideas are for me to spruce up the meals :)

THANK YOU GUYS!

  3. What is your daily routine kind of like?
I usually grab a western alternative bagel and a WW cream cheese and fruit for breakfast (2pts total) with fruit if I'm running out the door. At home I usually have more of a variety with eggs/toast, oatmeal, cereal, fruit, etc. Then the rest of the day is a toss up. I tend to do Breakfast, Snack, Lun.., S, D, S. To keep my stomach from rumbling.

    What snacks are most filling?
I like light yogurt if I need a jumpstart.

What are your work lunches like?
Left overs, salads or sandwiches usually. I occasionally grab a smart one if I'm short on time.

What exercises do you love and use?
I loath exercise! I do like to swim though. I just try to move more. Take the stairs, park at the end of the parking lot, etc.

What workout videos do you like?
I haven't done one in a LONG time

    Any books I should read?
I stick with WW and cookbooks.

  6. My daily routine isn't hardcore yet. I am still trying to get myself into shape slowly.

I would definitely invest in an exercise ball and light hand weights (2 or 3 lbs). You can find these for reasonable prices at Target or WalMart.

I typically try to wake up and do about 25 lunges just to get my body moving in the morning (I read that the best thing you can do for yourself is work out in the morning). As far as videos, I will keep you posted on my blog, but I have hear that Jillian's 30 day shred is fabulous. I just got it for Christmas, and I will be trying it out one I feel better!

Some great things to bring to work to snack on are wheat thins (pack some in a baggie, dont bring the whole box so you aren't tempted to eat the whole box), fresh fruit, salads (I usually have one for lunch every day at work), and popcorn (as little butter and salt as tolerable). One thing to be careful with salads is that they can be deceiving. The dressing is where it gets ya. Put as many fresh veggies on it as you want (celery and broccoli are great for burning calories), but try to go light on the dressing.

A great book to read is "Eat this not that". There are some very interesting facts in it that most people wouldn't know.

I hope this helps! If I think of anything else, I'll let you know! :)

  8. My number one rule is that my diet must be stress free and healthy.

I eat a lot of vegetables, grains, rice, beans, fruits.

My daily meals are a veggie chicken or burger + vegetable + grain or rice or pasta. I keep the veggies and the grain, rice and pasta to 5 oz or less. I pick them up from the prepared food section at a local high end grocery store. It costs more than a Lean Cuisine or Smart Ones, but it is healthier and tastier.

My favorite exerice thus far is walking. I am now up to walking 3 miles at a time. It took months, but I am now there.

My favorite snacks are fruit (oranges, apples, pears, bananas) or pita chips and a laughing cow light cheese wedge. I also found that All Bran makes these crackers that are 2 points for 18 of them and they taste just like Wheat Thins.

A really fast and easy breakfast is 2/3 cup of All Bran Bran Buds and a single yogurt. I stir the cereal into the yogurt. It is very filling and has TONS of fiber. Fiber keeps you full longer.

AND I have tagged you with a meme at my blog.
