I Love..

You guys!!! (In a non creepy, non stalker, I already have a man, friendly kinda way :) Thanks for your support and love. This past week has been ubber crazy!!!

But, I didnt go to the dr today to get my labs drawn so we'll check those out soon! I also saw the Dietician today as well. She said I'm doing a good job diet wise but I need to up my exercise (I knew that dang it!!!) and recommended I start WEIGHT WATCHERS!

So my questions to you lovely people are. Are you involved in WW (cause I know a lot of you are!)? Why do you like it? What are some downsides to it? How do you do with counting your points? Is it expensive? Do you think it'd work for me? How does it work??

Feel free to answer one or all :) of them.. Thanks so much ladies! I'll post more in a bit!!

  1. WW is GREAT! i dilly dallyed with it last year and ended up losing 30 lbs. But if you actually stick to it and stay On plan then you will see results alot quicker. It averages about 2lbs a week. It really is the best way because it teaches you that you can still have the foods you love but in portions that are better for you. The points are also fairly easy to keep up with. And the meetings are actually fun to me. I do much better the weeks i stay for the meeting. And i decided to use the pay per week which is 12 dollars a week. Otherwise i think its 34ish monthly. At least here in Alabama. Hope that helped some!!

  2. Ok, I've done Weight Watchers off and on for several years....the reason I'm not doing it now is because I feel that its harder more me to focus on eating the foods my body needs and get bogged down in eating empty points.

That being said- its been an awesome motivator for water intake, multivitamin, awareness of healthy oils, etc. And my Mom lost 50lbs on it last year, and has kept it off.

    Good luck!

  4. I think WW is definitely worth a shot, especially right now when they're running their New Year's no sign up fee special. I have been doing it off and on for what feels like forever, but am down over 20 lbs. from my high.

As far as what I like about it, I like that I can actually eat whatever I want, but I have to "budget" for it by eating less/smarter the rest of the day or week and by working out. I mean--that's how we're supposed to eat, right? Somehow I need the accountability of having to write down and count everything that goes in my mouth to get that.

I do online only and it's not expensive--I think it's about $16/month. For me, totally worth it. Good luck!

  5. I think WW can be a great asset especially in regards to the support and structure provided by the weekly weigh in meetings, I've done it before, and think my main reason I ultimately didn't care for it was that I found it so easy to use the plentiful points in unhealthy ways. You have to try, but I was up for it.

That said, plenty of people work it and it saves their lives. It has a pretty amazing success rate (likely very small, but in the WL world, a small percentage of success is big).

I think the key to any diet lifestyle choice is to recognize that in order for you to get healthy, and STAY healthy using it, you must rememeber its just that: a lifestyle choice. Anything can work as you stick with it, and WW is no different.

Either way, you can do it!

  6. I LOVE LOVE LOVE WW. I have now lost 96.4 lbs in the last year and it's all been due to following the WW plan. I think it's simple, healthy, attainable and maintainable. LOVE IT! :)

  7. I seriously think WW is the only thing that truly works. You're really learning how to eat healthy and once you get into the habit of making good choices it really becomes easy. You can do it!!
